citYgov research

The citYgov research group is a team of political scientists working on public utilities and local governance established at the University of Florence in 2004.

Since 2010, the group has been hosted by CIRES, the Interuniversity Center for the Research on Southern European Countries based at the University of Florence (Italy). The label citYgov (Public and private in cities' governance) has been adopted in 2009 as a consequence of the ESF/Tuscany Region funding and it is still a partnership between the CIRES and the Association of the Municipalities (ANCI - section of Tuscany).
